About us
Bergen National Harbour for Historic Ships (BNH) will:
To be a superstructure and a regional competence and power center for historic ships in Bergen and Vestland, with national ambitions.
It will be locally anchored in the central port area of Bergen.
Be a meeting place between volunteering, local stakeholders and visitors in an inclusive community.
Contribute to securing the future of historic ships through recruitment and competence transfer to the next generation of cultural carriers.
Have a central and visible location where the vessels play together with other movable cultural monuments and historical environments to create a holistic coastal cultural environment.
Contribute to good and stable framework conditions for historic ships and volunteering.
Contribute to increasing value creation around floating cultural heritage.
Be part of the city's identity and contribute to good urban development based on attractiveness, experiences and communication, where you play on a team with the region.
Communicate the importance and connection between shipping and the development of Bergen as a port city and the interaction with the surrounding districts.
